Why I built Taste Twins
To help you find the next book you can't stop thinking about, a joy no reader takes for granted.
I'd finish a book I loved, or hated, and go straight to the reviews. Again and again I was surprised by how much other readers disagreed, with me and with each other.
After a while I stopped trusting recommendations from Instagram, TikTok, bestseller lists, and acquaintances. None of them were wrong. They just came from people whose taste I didn't know. What I really wanted was recommendations from readers with my taste.
That's the idea behind Taste Twins. It finds the readers whose tastes line up with yours, overall and genre by genre, and shows you the books they loved that you haven't read yet.
Ultimately, I built Taste Twins to help you find the next book you can't stop thinking about, a joy no reader takes for granted.

A few questions
How do recommendations actually work?
We look at the books you and another reader have both rated, and measure how closely your ratings correlate. If you have a taste profile, shared likes and dislikes can count too, such as a love of fast pacing. Someone whose taste lines up with yours becomes a Taste Twin. Then we show you the books your Taste Twins loved that you haven’t read yet, overall and genre by genre.
Do I need an account to try it?
No. You can upload a Goodreads or StoryGraph CSV, or add books manually, and see recommendations before you create an account.
What happens to my library?
Your full library is visible to other Taste Twins by default. You can make it private in settings, which limits what others see to the books you have in common. We never sell your data.
